    Here is my illustration for the Koyama Press forest-themed anthology Root Rot. The book is filled to the trees with immense talent. Inés Estrada has a beautiful piece full of life and Hellen Jo’s comic is about a skate boarding alraune. Robin and I were taking a tour through the western side of Washington state, making stops at Crescent Lake, Hoh Rainforest, Lake Quinault.. I was inspired by the lush wilderness and mysteries in the dark patches of forest foliage. I could imagine a tug of war between a team of sasquatches and a tribe of totem pole monsters. So, this is what I drew when I got home. You should get yourself a copy from the AdHouse Books. I also have a few copies for sale and you can get a drawing in it too! Message me if you’re interested.
